An existing fixed-speed horse-training treadmill upgraded with variable-speed control — existing Mitsubishi VSD repurposed and controlled by a Siemens LOGO PLC so trainers can slow down and speed up the belt during a session.
An equine training facility on the Gold Coast had a conveyor-style horse treadmill running at a single fixed speed.
They needed the trainer to be able to vary belt speed during a session — warm-up, work and cool-down — without replacing the existing drive equipment.
An R&D-style retrofit reusing the equipment already on site — the existing Mitsubishi VSD repurposed for variable-speed control, with a Siemens LOGO PLC reprogrammed to drive it from a simple operator interface.

Trainers can now adjust treadmill speed live during a session — warm-up, work pace and cool-down all from a single operator control.
